Saturday morning began with an accident on I81 NB near MM53. Crews from New Kingstown, Union, Carlisle Fire Rescue, and Silver Spring Fire Police responded to the incident. Crews found a passenger vehicle and tractor trailer involved, both which crossed from the Southbound lanes, through the median, across both NB Lanes and off the road. The passenger vehicle was under the truck trailer. Fortunately, there were no injuries. Later, Company 33 participated in a safety event by Grove Financial held at the Station. Squad 33 and C133 handled a medical assist in the early afternoon. Later, Squad, Engine, and Traffic 33 assisted Company 31 with an accident on the access road to the rear of Kohl's on the Carlisle Pike. Just after clearing, Engine, Squad, and U133 responded to a porch fire reported out on Circle Dr. Crew traced the incident to discarded cigarette butts and confirmed there was no extension. The Saturday incidents brought our yearly call total to 324 incident.
