For Tuesday evening training, members went over all of our chimney equipment including contents of the inside and outside bags. After the in-station lecture, the Engine and Squad headed out to a local 2.5 story farmhouse for some hands on experience. Crews focused on equipment set up including runners and tarps to protect the homeowners property as well as roof operations. Before leaving, we talked about building construction including “balloon frame” design. One residential fire alarm was handled during training. A total of 14 members attended training.
