Recently, a fund drive request was mailed to residents in the Mechanicsburg Area, including Silver Spring Township, from New Cumberland River Rescue requesting a donation to their company. This organization does not provide service to Silver Spring Township, nor to the New Kingstown Fire Company. The New Kingstown Fire Company also no longer mails out "fund drive" requests, as we receive funding from a fire tax.

While we have no control over your donation, we certainly request that you use your best judgement when you choose an organization to donate to.

As a point of clarification, water rescue resources, if needed, respond from Monroe Fire Company in Monroe Township - an automatic aid department to Silver Spring Township.
