What is your favorite quote?

Everybody wants to be famous, but nobody wants to do the work. I live by that. You grind hard so you can play hard. At the end of the day, you put all the work in, and eventually it’ll pay off. It could be in a year, it could be in 30 years. Eventually, your hard work will pay off.

What is your favorite thing about New Kingstown?

It’s like a second family here, just about everyone calls me Uncle John. I enjoy teaching people and giving real life experiences to all of the younger firefighters.

John is one of our paid drivers although they are employees, they are considered family to us. We appreciate all that they do and ensuring our members respond and return from incidents without incident. John also volunteers for the West Shore Bureau of Fire and can be found behind a steering wheel there also.
