In addition to the monthly stats chart that was posted a few days ago, and with outlining more in depth reporting for 2025, we will add a few additional stats. Our manpower average per call was 12.8 members per call- this includes juniors, fire police, and all members qualified to respond to calls, that turnout-we do not track members that cannot respond to calls in this type report. We manually enter our "interior" qualified staffing into a spreadsheet. During January, 44% of the time the first out rig (tracking the engine or squad) responded with 6 interior firefighters. There were 2 incidents where we responded with only 3 interior members on the first out rig. There were no failed responses in January. Incidents were handled in 19 different municipalities in 3 counties with our contracted municipalities of Silver Spring capturing 48 incidents, and Middlesex at 31 incidents. Several incidents required triple pulls (Engine, Squad, Tanker) or Quad pulls (adding the Traffic unit). For those of you who keep track of the medical assist calls, there were 15 incidents (1 blocking, 1 AED, 1 where A40 was not available, 8 where A72 was not available, 1 canceled by EMS, and 3 for lifting). We also performed 3 smoke/CO alarm checks where the incident was self-generated. 350' of 5" hose, 1000' of 1 3/4", and 250' of 3" for the month. The eight (8) live in members combined for 621 responses and were all in the top 10 responders for the month and the paid driver/operators combined to 110 responses. 41 members attending training in January which combined for 376.40 hours!
Hopefully this shows even more transparency to our followers and to our municipal leaders who follow us as well! It should be noted the commendable accomplishments the members are making to push us even harder in 2025! |
