From the windshield of Chief 33’s vehicle positioned about 150’ behind the Squad. All members operated with reflective safety vests and reflective striping on the rear of the Squad. Traffic is being pushed to the right berm using the “nap alert” strips to keep traffic slowed. Traffic 31 is set up 400’ or so behind Chief 33. We do this to protect our personnel. Yes, it creates a delay in traffic getting to their destination but our safety is, and will be, the top priority.
