Squad 33, staffed with seven personnel, assisted Company 41 at a multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 81 northbound at mile marker 51.5. Upon arrival, crews began inspecting vehicles for any fluid leaks and checking for injured individuals. The battery spreader from Squad 33 was used to open the hood of one vehicle in order to disconnect and secure the battery. Emergency crews remained on scene to provide safe working conditions for EMS crews. All units cleared the scene within 40 minutes.
