Gas Leak in the Township

June 12, 2026

Engine 33, along with Squad 31, responded to a reported gas leak in the 31-02 box area off Sample Bridge Road earlier this evening. Upon arrival, crews identified a leaking connection at the UGI meter. The residence was checked on all levels, with gas readings detected only in the garage. The garage was ventilated, and the incident was then transferred to UGI for further handling.

At the same time as the gas leak response, Brush 33 was dispatched to Timber Road (no pun intended) for a report of a downed tree. These incidents marked the third and fourth calls of the day. On Saturday evening, as storms moved through the area, the department managed multiple calls, deploying the engine, squad, brush, and traffic units to assist with various incidents across the townships.
