At 00:02, township fire companies were dispatched to a vehicle fire on Kerry Court in Silver Spring Township. Chief 231 (Smith) arrived at 00:07 and requested additional resources due to the vehicle being fully engulfed in flames near a residence. Squad 31, staffed with four personnel, and Engine 33, staffed with five, arrived at 00:10 and began fire suppression efforts while checking the building for any fire spread. The fire was brought under control at 00:19, with crews remaining on scene until approximately 01:30. Although siding on the residence was melted, the fire was limited to the exterior. The department acknowledges the assistance provided by mutual aid partners during this incident.
