The Township Companies responded to a reported “Radon Alarm” at 21:11 Wednesday evening at a residence on Amity Ln. After calling 9-1-1, the resident evacuated and then noticed smoke from their electric meter on the outside of the home. Crews arrived and began investigating and requested the power company respond. The area around the meter was opened up finding considerable charring in the wall. Crews also checked the interior of the home. Units were on scene over an hour mitigating this incident and ensuring no further damage. E33 (6) and Sq33 (3) responded on this incident.
