The New Kingstown Fire Company has the following membership types:
Junior - A Junior Member is someone aged 14-17. Junior members are able to participate in and attend company level training and meetings as well as obtain training from off-site locations, such as HACC or York County Fire School, in order to obtain necessary training requirements based on their age group. Junior members fall under certain regulations due to their age. They are able to be "on station" and participate in daily station duties (cleaning and other chores) as well as assist with maintaining the apparatus. It is our hope that Juniors coming in as members attend as much training as they can in order to broaden their horizons in the emergency services family.
Regular - A Regular Member is someone aged 18 and over who attends meetings, trainings, and other company functions. When qualified, regular members are able to enter burning buildings and operate power and hydraulic equipment such as the "jaws of life" used in vehicle extrications. Regular members have the options of being a firefighter, fire police officer, or in a support role as a "social" type member available to assist with administrative functions and fund raising activities.
